This body fat calculator uses the U.S. Navy circumference method to estimate your body fat percentage from neck, waist, and hip measurements. The Navy method is validated to within 3-4% of DEXA scan results and requires only a tape measure — no calipers or expensive equipment.
For men: 10-20% is the healthy range (athletes 6-13%, fitness 14-17%, average 18-24%). For women: 18-28% is healthy (athletes 14-20%, fitness 21-24%, average 25-31%). Essential fat minimums are 2-5% for men and 10-13% for women — going below these levels is dangerous.
